Classical music and intellectual conversations pulsated from NGIN Workplace’s innovative conference room from 6-8 p.m. on October 1. Cloudstock, a social network for the stock market, celebrated the launch of their brand new platform. This marked NGIN’s fourth launch party since opening their doors to aspiring startup companies as a shared workspace in March. Not only do we (NGIN Workplace) provide a beautiful shared workspace for our members, but we also offer FREE launch parties to any new startup company with a credible campaign.
Along with paying absolutely nothing for a launch party, we provide our beautiful large space, free promotion of your event and campaign, free champagne and laptops for invitees to donate to the campaign right then and there. All you have to do is invite guests and celebrate your product, idea, or service. We are rooting for you to succeed! Here at NGIN Workplace, we understand how crucial it is to promote startups because we are a startup. We want to help the community of entrepreneurs in their earliest stage as much as possible.
Cloudstock’s launch party was a great success. Over the course of the night, around 70 guests showed up to celebrate their launch. All of the guests were given the chance to try out the beta of Cloudstock’s social network. Towards the end of the event, the founders of Cloudstock presented their pitch, which was very well received and memorable for all guests.
David Thor, Founder and CEO of Cloudstock, said that NGIN Workplace’s conference room was the perfect space for their company’s needs at the launch.
“The overall square-footage, functioning projector and microphone, various tables and chairs, and the complimentary champagne was a nice touch,” said Thor.
Thor expressed that he chose to have a launch party for Cloudstock because awareness and promotion is always good for new startups. The event gave them ample opportunity to showcase the product live and via social media afterwards, which in return gave them excellent feedback on the product.
Here is a brief history of Cloudstock described by Thor.
“CloudStock came from a team of software engineers looking for familiar educational resources in the world of finance,” said Thor. “Our inability to find a platform that spoke a common language opened the doors for the creation of CloudStock.”
Thor stated that Cloudstock is a credible idea because the world of finance needs more open and honest communication and transparency. He expressed that there is a massive educational barrier preventing the masses from successfully investing their personal reserves, and CloudStock is the tool that will bring down this wall.
“Through collaborative, risk-free investing, CloudStock can open the world of finance to a whole new market and provide the power of cloud computing for additional support along the way,” said Thor.
Accroding to Thor, CloudStock was designed with millennials in mind, but hits a wide variety of appealing points for various different demographics. He said that millennials are just beginning their professional pursuits, and are finally ready to start investing in the markets’ new-found success, as long as they have the right tools. Millenials often expect open and honest communication and the ability to learn on their own time and in their own ways; this is where CloudStock can help them in this field. Millenials don’t trust the current system, and their parents are starting to feel the same way – this is why CloudStock is seeking to be a transparent educational platform for these interested parties.
Since the launch party, Cloudstock has been in the process of working on the next iteration of the product. Thor stated that this includes a wide variety of updates geared toward bridging the gap between new investors using simulated trading and more experienced investors connecting their existing brokerage account.
“We want to create a hub where everyone can gain the benefits of open communication and collaboration,” said Thor.
Thor explained that Cloudstock’s future goal is to harbor confidence in personal investing, allowing our youth and our economy to flourish together. He said the free flow of information has done wonders for other sectors like software and healthcare, and we aim to bring the same results to the world of personal investing.
