At NGIN Workplace, we know our entrepreneurs are busy growing their businesses and pursuing their dreams. Finding time to hit the gym may be hard, if not impossible. That’s why we bring the gym right to you. Every Wednesday at 11:45am we offer our members the chance to break a sweat with CrossFit.
Unique to NGIN Workplace, we are proud to offer our members the opportunity to try CrossFit right in our office. There are no more excuses. The gym is now only a couple of desks away.
CrossFit is the new definition of fitness. Over the past decade, CrossFit has revolutionized the way people exercise. With all the buzz CrossFit has garnered over the year — we all know someone who can’t stop talking about it — this intense workout has earned a reputation for kicking people into shape with its high intensity workouts.
Indeed, CrossFit may seem extreme (“You want me to do what and how many times”). But we are here to tell you that CrossFit is for everyone. All of our members can benefit from our weekly ten to 15 minute sessions.
NGIN’s very own COO, Olga Akselrod leads the sessions. She is a certified trainer who is passionate about the benefits of CrossFit for the NGIN community.
Never picked up a kettlebell in your life? No problem, our CrossFit sessions are beginner-friendly and prescribed for our members. We are equipped with box jumps, plates, jump-ropes, a barbell, and kettlebells to get our members moving. After all, you don’t need the fancy gym equipment when you have a couple of kettlebells at your disposal.
WODs, or the workout of the day, are always different and sure to work up a sweat. We are also equipped with showers so our entrepreneurs can go from their workout gear back to business casual.
We also strive to have a healthy community. With numerous benefits, from improved endurance, strength, and coordination, CrossFit does wonders for the body and prepares you for anything. With CrossFit, you can feel better and perform better. This short and intense workout can give you the energy and confidence to go back to your work ready and refreshed. These quick WODs may be just the perk you need to go back to your big ideas
But here at NGIN, we are also about community. Our members don’t just cowork, they workout together. CrossFit is a group workout where participants encourage a push each other to the work out of the day. Who knows, maybe a little friendly competition with the guys from across the hall could lead to new and exciting ideas.

Interested? Here’s what Olga has to say about CrossFit at NGIN:
Q: What is a typical session like? What kinds of workouts do you put the members through?
A: In a typical session we’ll first put on some cool energetic music and turn artificial lights off, since we get plenty of daylight through the windows. We’ll do a quick two minute warm up just to get the heart rate going, then turn on the clock and go. If there is a movement that requires demonstration, I will do it at the beginning of the class and if there are new folks that are not sure, or need to modify or scale a certain movements, I will go over it with them prior to the start of the workout.
